I use InboxDollars almost every day. I’ve always chosen Amazon gift cards when I cash out. This is my personal history, not a promise of what someone else will earn.

My Daily Routine

The Daily List is one of the main reasons I keep using InboxDollars. The activities can change, but I commonly see things like a quick poll, adding a Magic Receipt offer, visiting the Daily Deals page, playing a quick game, attempting a survey, and completing a survey.

• I usually spend about 5 minutes a day on the Daily List.
• When I have time, I try to complete all available Daily List items for the extra cents.
• I also watch the Daily Goal because reaching it can create additional bonus opportunities.

Surveys, Games, and Emails

• Surveys: One thing I like is that attempting a survey can still provide some credit even if I don’t qualify.
• Games: I use quick daily games such as Solitaire and Candy Jam when they’re available.
• Emails: I click qualifying InboxDollars emails that offer credit.

None of these pays much by itself. The point is consistency: a few cents here and there can add up over time.

Magic Receipts

This part takes more planning. Before shopping, I need to select the store, look through available Magic Receipt offers, add qualifying items to my shopping list, buy the item, and submit the receipt afterward.

In my experience, a basic receipt earns about 1¢. If the receipt contains an item I added before purchasing it, I may receive an additional reward. I spend roughly 5–10 minutes a week dealing with receipts.

What I Don’t Like

My biggest complaint is the extra work involved with receipts. Unlike Receipt Hog, InboxDollars often requires me to think about the purchase before I make it if I want to maximize the reward.

Another limitation is online receipts. In my experience, they generally don’t count unless the shopping is done through InboxDollars’ own shopping system.

Tips From My Experience

• Do the Daily List regularly. It only takes a few minutes.
• Complete all the items when you can. The extra cents can add up.
• Watch the Daily Goal. It can lead to additional bonuses.
• Don’t overlook qualifying emails.
• Plan Magic Receipt purchases. Add an item before buying it if you were already going to purchase it.
• Don’t hold your balance hoping for a better cash-out rate. InboxDollars already shows earnings in dollars and cents.
• Don’t spend money just to chase a reward. Only consider an offer if you actually want the product or service.

My Verdict

Would I recommend InboxDollars? Yes, with realistic expectations. I don’t use it expecting to get rich. I use it because it’s free, takes only a few minutes, and has put some extra money in my pocket over time.
